2 litre petrol injected
anyone think of anything worth keeping before it goes to scrap on the 29th

Cant you build a locost on from it?!

carlknight1982 - 18/4/08 at 11:38 PM

that was my original plan but ive gone the sierra route as its my first car build.

robertst - 19/4/08 at 03:35 AM

just keep the engine and if its a manual so much the better!,
those engines are indestructible.. plus that engine probably weighs the same (or maybe less) than the sierra boat anchor...
u just need the running gear from the sierra anyway...

Star off the bonnet as a souvenir?

carlknight1982 - 19/4/08 at 10:52 AM

there must be something worth keeping

blakep82 - 19/4/08 at 11:19 AM

well, if you've got space to strip it and keep bits, keep the running gear, engine gearbox axle, maybe the front suspension, and sell them on ebay?

like i said, if you've got space to keep stuff, get as much as you can. interior if its good, lights, mirrors, doors etc. people would buy those i'd say

EVery bolt and interior piece of scrap you can - even the gear and handbrake surround and handle. Seat runners, seat belts etc etc. These little bits come in handy.

The radiator seems to be very very compact, iv kept that

Why not put the mechanics in a ladder frame. Would be a decent autobahnrenner.
