Fitting Sierra Pedal Box
Blue Fox - 13/6/08 at 03:55 PM

I have a standard Ron Chapman chassis and have been trying to figure out how to fit a sierra pedal box to the footwell. Do I have to make up a bracket as it seems at the wrong angle if mounted vertical and cut the pedals down as they seem to rub on the floor? Any suggestions of what you have all done with photos would be even better. I expect there is something obvious that I am missing!!

If you let me have your email i can send you some pics of mine. I can never upload any pics onto my archive.Yes you need a bracket and you need to strengthen the pedal box itself to stop it from flexing.

I can't see any reinforcing from the top of the plate to the chassis, if you have none you will be surprised at the flex when you hit the brakes and that will be a SVA fail (guess how I know)
