quick question

has anyone heard of the EVO engine being used in a 7 type car or being converted to RWD, can it be done ? (cant see why not)

allways thought about it - just thinking out loud

cheers

Don't see why not, in fact it's not really an engine question so much as a gearbox question. Which one? How to make the appropriate adaptors

Evo engines sit transverse. Would that be a prob? Mate just sold his evo 8 with 380bhp! Handled like it was on rails!

so does a zetec. would it be the same pattern bellhousing as some other rear drive mitsubishi? maybe the 3000gt? probably a massive box if you can get hold of a manual one.

I've heard of a couple of starions fitted with evo engines so theres one 'box if you can find one!!!!

also the old hyundai steller used a mitsi box and if you can find one of the old mk1's they had cortina running gear. just after i left a hyundai garage and started preping an evo3 rally car i always fancied putting the 2 together for a real sleeper

There might be a chance that the gearbox from a L200 and L300 might fit without severe modifications.

edit: As

says...
