hi all
great site has any one thought of or have used a starion for a donor car? the reason i ask i,ve just moved my starion out of 5 year storage and the bodys shot so i,m thinking of recycling as much of the car if possible. looking at the locost basic chassis i might have to widen it to fit the intercooler and possibly make it taller aswell thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site

You will need to do a lot of thinking and designing your own stuff to use a car which isn't the usual escort/sierra. it will take you longer because of this.

However if you manage it, it should be an awesome car

Keep us posted with progress

Cheers

hi
thanks guys had a word with one of the guys at work who used to build formula ford chassis some years ago. says its not worth the time and effort as they are getting old and parts are getting harder to find.

Surely that depends on the parts. Is he talking about an ashtray cover or a crank bearing?

If the former, it matters not in the slightest as you'll be using only the mechanicals.

I always quite liked the Starion and think you should restore it
