Look for a good book need to build front suspension so can someone advise which book or web site for a beginner to start with
How to Make Your Car
Handle by Fred Puhn
[Edited on 8/5/11 by britishtrident]
Competition car suspension by Allan Staniforth, some on Amazon for less than £16, also some on ebay.
His books are easy to understand and Allan was a well respected engineer in scratch building race cars.
Sadly no longer with us R.I.P.

Fred Puhn and espcially Stanniforths are great, the Des Hamill ones naff in comparison. Stanni's other book Race and Rally Car Data Source book is also very good
Went for this one How to Build and Modify Sportscar and Kitcar Suspension and Brakes for Road and Track (Speedpro) (Speedpro Series)
good book But doesn’t till me what I’m after
Looking for information on differences of equal and unequal arms, how to work out how long a wish bones should be and position of pickup points
Do ether of the others tell me this
yes, either of the Stanniforth books will be fine
