A kit car!
pekwah1 - 1/3/10 at 05:04 PM

Hi guys,

I've got £5k to spend on a kit car.
My ideal choices would be a sylva/raw striker or an mk indy.

I am also a big lad at 6'3" with a 36" leg and size 10s so would be useful to be able to sit in the thing as well!

If you have something interesting within this criteria then please let me know, i'll carry on trawling mr pistonheads and egay in the mean time!

Regards,
Andy

Sorry, almost forgot, i'm looking for a car that is already road registered, been doing too much car maintenance, i need to drive!

I'm 6'2" with 34" leg and size 12s.

You'll fit in a seven or a striker easily.

Just bin the seat and use some padding to suit.

Sit in the striker before you buy. They can be a bit small.

Its getting a bit warm for bargain buys though.

A friend of mine has two at the moment. Pretty sure he wants to sell the Pinto powered one. I know its yellow and i think it is a tiger like his zetec powered one. If you are interested, i could ask him.
The reason he has two, is because he wanted something quicker and in orange, which he eventually got, but hasn't got around to getting rid of the 1st one he bought.

You have a U2U

I'm 6' 6" with size 13s, and I have a proper seat and still fit in my Stuart Taylor! When I tried the Striker, I found that had loads of foot room too (especially for such a little car). The avon with a floor mounted pedal box was also roomy. Pick a floor mounted pedal box and the right seat, and you will have no issues fitting in....

thanks for the help so far.
Have just seen this on ph:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1548065.htm

Any thoughts?

I was assuming it was a gkd until i saw the photo as that would make it a 'legend'?

Have just emailed the guy asking a few questions about it....

2.0 zetec sounds nice though!

there is a blade powered haynes roadster for sale on here somewhere!

franky - 7/3/10 at 11:01 PM

thats not a gkd legend or evolution. looks like ruddy good value though as a stack dash can cost £1000 or more.

I have a mates Duratec engined Tiger E1 (Bike TBs & Emerald) in my garage at the moment. I think he is interested in selling but the price would be around the £5800 mark. I can get some more details if your interested.

jeff, thanks for the thought but that's going to be well over my budget so will need to leave i'm afraid.

hol, u2u your way!

Oh yeah, had an email back about that 'evolution' car on ph, apparently sold within an hour of getting put up
