dan__wright - 6/10/10 at 08:20 PM

is this an attempt to get someone from here to buy it so that you dont?

that's not much more that a modern 1000 from malc, could be fun.

scootz - 6/10/10 at 08:24 PM

Nope - far too manic for my tastes!

285 BHP is 100 more than a 1000cc bike engine.

dan__wright - 6/10/10 at 08:59 PM

I mean price wise

I would love to put it in mine, but I just love my ZX12.

IVA ing a 2-stroke would be tough.

RGB requires 4 cylinder 4-stroke (just checked the regulations)

Someone is going to have fun with it though.

Matt

imp paul - 6/10/10 at 10:13 PM

yes that's a sweet engine go on scott

dlatch - 6/10/10 at 11:04 PM

Dynoed at 285bhp at the crank on 114 octane race fuel

but what would it do on normal fuel?

got to say i love 2 stroke engines and it would be insane in a kit, actually i bloody want it
sometimes its good your skint lol

Rod Ends - 6/10/10 at 11:25 PM

They sound a bit crappy (assuming it's not the naff camcorder mic)

vorn - 7/10/10 at 12:18 AM

I think it sounds bad because of the vari drive system.

But being two stroke it would sound like a bumble bee in a tin can.

I think it would be fun to have to start up a car with a pull chord - imagine the comments at the pub.

welderman - 7/10/10 at 07:07 AM

No no no, i must resist, scootz you could get me into trouble
, i like, i like alot.

RazMan - 7/10/10 at 07:28 AM

Mental engine!! It reminds me of my old Suzuki 750 triple back in the 70s/80's - that didn't quite have that sort of power though

Steve Hignett - 7/10/10 at 07:53 AM

Could you imagine what two of them made into a V6 would be like? Then add a Supercharger...

Hmm Could be fun and I'll let you know how well it goes

nick205 - 7/10/10 at 09:28 AM

Be interested to know what power it would make on normal 95/98 RON fuel?

Now take a look at these eeejuts - why would you do this...?

Red neck Hayabusa dirt trike contraption

MikeRJ - 7/10/10 at 11:51 AM

That would be a wild engine for a nice light 7, but I wouldn't want to be involved in routing and fabricating the three expansion chambers you'd need. Or paying for the vast quantities of fuel it would consume for that matter

You'd need a nice close ratio box for it as well, ye olde type 9 wouldn't be much cop.

Nobody has pointed out the flaw in the plan. These things only run on tickover or flat out

.... like every other bike-engine then!
