Have used a very simple method in the past for moving the cache in firefox but for some reason I can't remember how I did it (getting old I guess)
Can someone help me? Now using firefox 3.6

Google is your friend. Typing "move cache firefox" quickly leads to

Type browser.cache.disk.parent_directory into the dialog box that appears, then click OK. In the Value dialog box, enter c:folder, providing the foldername in which you wish the file to be located.

Found out how to find out where it is! about:cache

about:cache tells you where it is at the moment which is great but I want to move it to a different location. There is a really simple way of moving it as I have done it before but I cant remeber or find how for some reason.

I think that needs to be typed into a new preference in about:config.

Not 100% but it's the only way i can think of doing it.
