Photo Hosting sites

What sites do people find best for hosting and sharing photographs?

This and the E Type forum are the closest I get to social media, so not interested in ArseFace, Twatter or anything like that, just simple photo hosting I can link to.

Cheers.

Pete.

"Arseface" and "Twatter"

I've been using Photobucket for a few months and find it OK. It gives you the links to copy and paste into emails and forums etc, which is quite handy. The site can be a bit adverty, but then it's free.

I can't compare to any other hosting service though.

I've been using photobucket for a few years now and had no problems.

I have had occational trouble viewing pictures via links to flickr. That could just as easily be my fault or the link rather than flicker though.

A Vote here for Flickr.

I have been using it for about a year now and have over 20k pictures on there.

You get FREE -

1Tb of storage of Jpg photos and limited storage of short video clips
No upload limit per month but limited to batches of 200 photos at a time
Web upload interface, just drag and drop
Set size of photo people can see/download
Set access rights (you only, friends, family, everyone)
Send guest pass in email for people to view "you only" photos/albums
Album (folder) structure for filling up to 5 levels deep (not gone past 2 yet !)
Tag images for ease of searching/collect viewers
Geotag images on a map if you want
    Name/rename/description/auto rotate/folder on upload
Exif stays in tact and is searchable

Hope that helps.

I used 000.webhost - pretty much unlimited bandwidth & lots of storage.
Only drawback (if you can call it that) you have the time to set up a very basic webpage (its a requirement as they are a host not a storage site).
It was always my intention to use it as a webhost, as I have a couple of basic sites, but then allows me to use them as an image host too.

http://imgur.com/

Perfect for general sharing and linking, but I think stuff can be deleted for space after some rather long period of time

Create a Google+ account and install Google Picasa you can then share any photos and keep all your photos backed up.
Be aware of Google+ privacy concerns but this is true of any other social network.
