Need a VAG car with 1.8 20v turbo engine
I have been searching everywhere for an accident damaged golf, passat, a3 etc and no luck so far. Want a whole car really for the engine, box, loom,
clocks, keys and ecu. Its all goin in a mk1 golf so figured it would be easier to get everything and label stuff as i remove/transfer, plus i know it
works and i have everything! All the breakers i have tried wont sell me the whole car, or if they will its silly money. Keep your eyes peeled guys all
help much appreciated

Strikes me what you need to do is buy a car from a salvage dealer.
I bought a 1.8T A3 for about £700 delivered. Frontal impact, the radiator was U/S and the airbags had gone off, and the front passenger's seat
smelled of wee wee.
I've since sold it to someone who is putting it in a Golf
There's a W reg Golf turbo for auction in Cardiff at Pengam Partmart (01443 834779 ). It's at £810 at the moment. You need to register
before you can bid. Is that the kind of thing you are looking for?

will give em a ring cheers for the info mr henderson

Have you looked for Seat Ibiza's?
I'm fairly sure VAG put this lump in them as well. Since Seat's are popular among the young drivers there might be more accident damaged
ones of them around.
Who the f**K tightened this up!

Octavia VRS as well they offer more BHP than the golf , if you go for a golf try and source as late a model as you can as they have the KO3s turbo on
and are mapable to around 210 earlier models are 195bhp> I run a 2001 1.8 t with engine code AUM 150bhp standard I think the Octavia is 180 BHP as
are Audis and the aniversary Golf

You will struggle to get whole car these days. If youre gonna do it, then do it right! Get yourself a 1.8t with a BAM engine code. I think this is
the most powerful of the standard engines. Comes from Audi S3, may also be the one in the seat cupra R but not sure about that. 225 bhp!

Try www.car-transplants.co.uk (if I'm allowed to post this) they sell damaged cars, I've seen a few A3's on it
