well i've almost got a donor
1.8 cvh. 81k. anyone know how much these estates weigh? anyone good at breaking these things, and feel like giving me a hand? / have a piece of land
to do it on beer tokens on offer.
anybody have a list of tools/any info on spanner/hex sizes i need.

once the engines out, I'd roll it onto the roof as it makes getting the running gear off a lot easier, four people can roll a car that size.
Almost all the nuts are 10mm 13mm & 17mm.

As mentioned many times, its a good idea to loosen the rear hub nuts when it's still on it's wheels - you'll need a 41mm socket,
long extension tube and someone generously proportioned to jump on it!

tbh I just bought some new nuts, think they were £5 each and cut the old ones off. Wasn't happy to use nylock hub nuts twice.

^^^ If you feel the need to remove the hub nuts.. I didn't is the bearings did'nt need changing...

is there any way of telling if these bearings will need changing other than i guess, rumbling from the back end?
81k is still pretty young, but it was made in 89
