What donor parts have i got?
How can i tell exactly what donor parts i have? I bought complete front and rear axels, diff and steering column from a guy that couldn't
remember what sierra it all came from. It has front and rear discs without ABS, manual rack, 3.62 diff. Any ideas how i can find out so i can get
the right bearings and brake parts?

It's not all that important really as it's quite easy.
there are three sizes for front disc and one size for the rear (although they come in vented and unvented) so measure the front discs and check the
rears.
Most motor factors will be able to get the brake parts with that info.
there were two types of drive shafts but if you have disc brakes then you should have bolt on shafts which should make it quite easy.
is the diff 7" or 7.5"? post a pic up so we can have a look
cheers
Mark
Edit:although you saay no ABS, the drive shafts have a toothed ring which was for ABS which may need to be machined off

Thanks, i'll have a measure of the front discs and get a pic of the diff up soon. It has bolt on shafts with the toothed ring for the abs but
no holes for the sensors.

Heres the diff, still needs a bit of a clean up and paint. What paint is best btw, hammerite apparently doesn't like aluminium.

Hammerite can be painted onto pretty much anything with the right primer.

The front discs are 260mm but everyone seems to list 260mm discs as having abs which mine don't have.
