My Best Option?
Hello,
I'm looking to build myself a McSorely +442 chassis, running a Pinto 2l + T9 box (both of which I (almost) already have). Preferably I want a
live axle setup.
What is my best choice or choices as a donor for front and rear hubs, steering rack, rear axle, prop shaft and pedal box? I am not overly bothered
about having a Q plate and so am prepared to take all the bits and bobs from different cars down the scrappie, hopefully with little or no mods.
Thanks a lot

I'm assuming a McSorley +442 is 4 inches wider, 4 inches longer and 2 inches higher. If so it seems to me that you need a mark 4/5 cortina.
That'll have all the bits you need in a single donor with a +4 live axle.

Hi,
Yes you are correct about the dimmensions.
What adjustments, if any, need to be made to the steering rack, front hubs, and suspension wishbones?
Does anyone know if using the rear axle (with diff and hubs), and the front hubs and rack from a single car, but not the engine and box, will be
enough to obtain an age related plate?
Thanks a lot.

Hi
Is a McSorely chassis +4 at the nose?
If so an Escort rack is almost perfect
from a bump steer point of view, just
needs rack extensions on the ends.
Book dims are fine for w/b's.
This is assumeing you go for Cortina U/R's
See my photo archive.
Hope this helps.

Don't know, but I seem to remember previous posts relating to this. Try a search.
