It will only go on 4cy fords. There is a firm thats made an adapter for the vag 1.8t but its only for a very rare 6cl rwd mt 75. Robin hood also made an adapter for the rover T-series turbo but again not the 4cl box.

Zetec / MT75 is a very nice combination, only disadvantage is you need a sliding joint prop, I made my own from a landrover disco front prop, and a bailey morris flange.

is the place. It says it will go on a 4cyl box but the adapter was for a 6 when I looked a few years back.

some of the later SAAB eingines are on a GM bellhousing pattern the same as vauxhall redtops etc.
so these can easily be fitted to omega boxes or type 9's with an aftermarket bellhousing, but I don't know of an off the shelf way of fitting these to an MT75

of course you could engineer your own adapter to fit whatever you like
(like the one in big wasa's link)

sounds like you just need to have a read throught some build diarys (there are a few on here that have made there own - try a few searches)

of course it would help if we knew exactly which engine you wanted to fit
