seal kit?
with gts darren on hols does anyone know where else i can get the seal kit for my calipers?
can i get it straight from the local ford motor factors i am assuming i can.
BUT
i don't know what year my cortina hubs and uprights are from. i have heard that our local motor factors are not the most helpful unless you
know exactly what you are asking for.
one more thing whilst my uprights match the ones in the book exactly, the calipers are different they look much bigger and much more rounded,
anyone care to shed some light

Your calipers are probably M16, I think they came with P16s as standard.

M16s are better, I'm not sure if ford dealers will still be able to get hold of the seal kits, try somewhere like cafco.

Yep brakesint.co.uk Liam £3.40 each £5 for postage so its worthwhile getting your pads at the same time.

Slightly off thread but I think it's worth a mention.
In my experience it is usually considerably cheaper to buy components from the larger dealers, (Brakes Int, Lucas and numerous others who list on the
web). Specialist kit suppliers have their place where components are made to spec but for 'off the shelf' items they are usually more
expensive.
An exception to this was Lolo's front suspension set, (ball joints and rod ends) that beat everyone I looked at on price and I can't see
any difference in quality.
Time spent building a decent list of favourites pays dividends in my opinion.

Ring them up and tell them what car the calipers came from, should be fine, was for me.
