Jap import headlights and IVA

If I reused the headlights from a Eunos Roadster (Jap import MX5) would I have any IVA issues? I'm fairly sure Japan drives on the left so the beam pattern should be ok?

not certain, but I'm sure I heard somewhere that some Japanese market lights don't have an E mark, so aren't legal in UK.
Worth checking?

E marking is only relevant for gas discharge or LED headlights for IVA.
Due to sheer volumes of jap imports in the UK, im sure theres no problem. The only common changes im aware of are rear fog and speedo (mph).
