Ford Sierra Cosworth
I've got a question??
I can get a ford sierra 2.0 rs cosworth car, compleet.
This car have a great engine, is it going too fit in a standard or a sierra base car.
Is this a good engine or not???
Sorry for the bad englisch but I'am living in Holland.

Sounds like a really bad idea- won't fit and probably won't go very well afterwards.
Tell you what- as I'm a nice guy I'll swap you your Cosworth for my Sierra Pinto engine. Sound like a good deal?

I live in Winterswijk that is near Arnhem.
But the engine is too big to go in or wil i have too do so much alternations that it's not worth the effort.

i think what James was trying to say in an English type of way was.....
Fit it, or he will........yeah its a top motor so go for it.......

One of the members on this BB, 'Hicost' runs a Sierra Cosworth Turbo in his Locost, so it can be done and is well worth it

Yeah, sorry I was joking!
I haven't even been in Hicost's Cossie Locost and I would love a Cosworth engine for mine!

I imagine it'll be quite hard to fit it in though. As you can see from the picture there is not much spare room!
As Jon said- go for it.
If you decide not to use it though- I fancy another visit to the Arnhem war museum so it would be a good trip!

But the picture of the car, is this the standard chassis or is it modified??
Also thinking about a toyota engine and selling the cosworth(heavy).
But wat toyota wil it be??????

Just out of interest, how much was the donor you were looking at? Are they much cheaper than in the UK?

Overhere ( in Holland ) you can get a 1.6 or 2.0 litre sierra for 100 to 200 Euros on the net. The breakers start price for engine up north where I am
is near 100 euros.( A rip off if you ask me)

It's too pricy, and so much work that I did not want to do it.
Now I'am going for a mazda MX5 it's a great engine and the rear suspention is a IRS unit that you undo from the car and hang in the chassis and then
its done.
You dont need too design the compleet rearend of the chassis for IRS.
any advise

I built a cossie engine for a Dax, 330bhp! could not believe how quick it was! didnt want customer to have it back. So... Im now starting my Tiger
chassis to put my Cossie Engine into......and with any luck i should have a six speed quaife sequential box to mate it to. watch this space for a new
website.......john
