Give your local council a ring first, some collect bangers for no charge, saves 'em being dumped
Even your local scrappers should pick it up on the back of a flatback for £30-50.
If you're feeling time-rich cash-poor, you could always do what we did. It involves an angle grinder, large hammer, a trailer and the local council
tip
Good luck

£30-£50 sounds pretty steep, in my experience it's been around £10 from my house (about a mile or two from scrappy) and £15 from my mates house (7 or
8 miles), which for the agrevation of chopping a car into little little pieces, is well worth it.

Look at it this way. Scrappies make thier money on the bits on the car, their being little value in scrap metal these days. You will have removed 90%
of the saleable parts, leaving no profit. If you leave tyres with the car then it costs the scrappie about £2 - £5 per tyre to dispose of them (hence
most scrappies wont take a car with Tyres, unless they've got GOOD tread). Then they have to pay for their fuel for the collection. So the less
there is of the vehicle the more it costs you.

When I phoned up to get rid of the XR2 shell, they didn't ask about it at all. They just quoted a tenner and picked it up about a week later. The
fact was that there was virtually nothing of any value on it at all. No engine or wheels, one door broken and one missing, a knackered bonnet and
front wings, and the interior was either smashed up, carelessly torn out or water damaged/going moldey.
I guess I did them a favour by getting rid of the loooooovvvvvely pepperpots.

As has been pointed out in the past on similar threads, it all depends on where you live. Some places it is cheap and quick to get rid of shells,
other places it is almost impossible
