hand brake springs
I am in the process of putting my sierra back drums back together. I don't have the springs that go on the handbrake cable. Any suggestions
where I can get some from?

Halfords do (or did 3 years ago!) a pack of rebuild springs for drums.

James,
Thanks but I have already bought a spring and fastner kit. It doesn't have the spring that goes between the inner and outer cables on the
hadbrake. I have one from the donor back end I got from tiger but the other is missing. The new cables i have are from a golf or jetta (again part
of the kit from tiger) but they do not have any spring at the brake drum end.
Any thoughts?

It could be worth taking the old springs along to Halfords and going through there kits to see if they have any others similar.
I was lucky to get my spring kits - last 2 on the shelf and delisted. One bag had been opened and i found there was a couple of bits missing (normally
i wouldnt have bought an opened bag but had no choice this time). Halfords did the decent thing and robbed the bits out of another bag for me.
If you find the Sierra kits in your local store grab them as future spares. I got a set of shoes half price as well - again delisted old stock.
Only other option is to go along to local freindly Ford dealer and see if you can locate them on the microfiche.
