A ford sierra XR4x4 has come up locally which is really to good to refuse,

this has come unexpectedly but I may aswell get it anyway..

is there anywhere I can look or a book to buy that tells me what to take off the Sierra and what not to majorly forget...

as I may aswell strip it anyway that gets some things done

It will as from saturday now doubt be a BEC indy I will be building.

thanks in advance
Chris

Look here

http://www.mksportscars.co.uk/donor.html

This lists the stuff you need for a MK.

The 4x4 front uprights are no good for an Indy so you will need to get these elsewhere

Also you will need a non power steering rack.

Don't miss the indicator flasher unit which is under the dash not with all the others under the bonnet.

Have fun

Mark

mac#1 will also be happy to provide a donor list of bits you will need. i forgot to get this and had to spend a few pennies on extra bits. Surprisingly the local scrappie only had 2 Sierras in and they were well stripped. I had to pay £7 for handbrake and £10 for new flasher unit. The whole car was only £20 - bugger was a good word.

There may be bits that you wont be using that you can use as swaps with other people.
