Sierra Steering Column

Ive got the steering column from the Sierra. Can I remove all the gubbins (stalks, ingnition etc) so that I can mount a quick release boss and new wheel?

Also, where do all the switches now go :-
-Lights
-Indicators
-Horn

Or is it best to keep the entire column and stalks?

Each to their own.....

I angle-grinded off the lock and steering lock mechanism but kept the stalk mounting points...
If you don't want stalks you can either put the switches on the dash or (if its a BEC) use the switch gear from the bike....
For the QR boss / column interface I chucked some money at someone with a workshop and a big welder!!!

IMO it's more user frendly to keep the column switches in place. Indicators and main/dip beam need to be intuitive and allow you t keep both hands on the wheel.

Also bear in mind when you're strapped in tight with 4 pooint harnesses, you may struggle to reach switch gear on the dashboard
