MK 1600 Pinto sump modification

I'm building a 1600 Pinto MK Indy and I'm not sure whether I need to get the sump modified. MK said I 'might not need to' but I'd kinda like a more accurate answer before I put the engine in, can anyone help?

I would like a diagram for shortening and extending a Pinto sump.

Scooby, i have come to the conclusion that it will be a wise idea to shorten the sump of my 1600 pinto for use in an MK indy. Even if it is only for peace of mind.

Cheers

James
