Free/extremely cheap Sierra donor wanted

If anyone knows of an example of the above lurking near them and which isn't 300+ miles from the Greater Peterborough area can they stick a reply on here please? (i'd obviously prefer the "I just want rid of the bloody nuisance thing, just take it away" i.e. free option but will consider whatever you have). Anyone?

I'm nowhere near there, but try a local car auction. Sierras go through running from 10 to 50 quid, plus a few fees. The benefit of auction is that they are usually roadworthy part exchanges from local garages, so they will have ok tyres etc.

That was the case with mine anyway, it drove home like a beaut.

Just have a drive round your local council estates and you're bound to see one that looks undriven. Then just knock on the door and offer to take it away. Got a couple of donors this way - they can only say no!

there is another way: car salvage, its where all stolen recovered, trahsed and shashed cars go that are too good / new to get rid, try:
http://www.car-transplants.co.uk/ in the north west. (Cheshire)

http://www.cleavemotorsalvage.com/in the south west (glouster)

http://www.silverlakeautoparts.co.uk/ southampton...

you get the idea, try searching on google for car salvage, sierras are old and conequently dirt cheap at these places....

often for as little as £50 at car transplants

Please feel free in advance to: correct, update, ridicule or laugh and point at any comments made by myself in this post....

i recon just putting a card in a sweetshop window or an ad in the paper will get dozens of contacts.

Most scrappies now CHARGE to take old cars away. Giving you one for nothing will be a worry off someones mind.

HOWEVER you may not save in the long run by getting a clapped out freebie.

I spent 260 quid at aution for a perfectly good 73k, 2 owner ford granada V6. 11 month mot too. Engine seems to be great. Might not get that on a past it cheap car - and engine work isnt cheap.
