plundering the donor..
As a student having to work over the summer, i have spent only a fraction of the time I planned to on my car. The chassis is coming on, but I know
really need to strip my escort. The problem being, I will have about two days to do it in before I start uni. I have a couple of mates, both of which
are handy with a grinder and hammer etc. My question is would we get everything out of the escort in two days, or would I be best waiting till i have
more time before starting it. I only wanna get enough parts so I can get rid of the escort.
How long did stripping the escort take everyone else, and what are the best ways to go about it?
Thanks in advance,
Mark

In my opinion, two days is plenty of time for a team to strip a car. Provided you know what you want from it, how to get it, and dont get any stuck
bolts etc. Just make sure you are ready with a hoist, fuel drained etc...
i used a sierra, but its so easy taking stuff apart.

my website describes what I did.
A single person (me) stripped my car in about 16 hrs.
When you can cut and hack stubborn bolts away cos the car isnt going back together again, it saves loads of time. For example, the engine comes out
easier if you grind the front grille etc off!
I recon you can do it!
