Just bought my donor - and blew my budget!

Here's the beast:

Can't wait to get it home, start measuring things, planning, plotting, dismantling!

I'm finally getting somewhere! Will get a build diary going as soon as I can.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

It *is* far too good to break.

Plus side of that is you'll probably get most of your money back by selling the bits on fleabay

Cats are £600 / piece from BMW and there's 2 of them on this beast!

Aerosam,

Let us know how much aggro you have taking it apart. I was offered a (non runner, reason unknown - might be major, might have no fuel sort of thing) 540 for nothing recently, but just not enough notice to plan what to do with the bits.

Keep a record, especially of the wiring loom

Oh yes, definitely going in a locost.

And great advice Simon, the wiring on that this is bound to be complicated. I'm a little worriede it might have some super complicated anti-theft system that will be a real pain to disable.

I'm sure that if you keep the wiring loom complete, then just clip unwanted circuits - windows, heated screen etc into fooling the brain all's well, then you may be ok.

Probs may arise if you have a perimetric alarm that senses internal pressure etc.

But I'm sure you'll find a way around that, then you can tell us how to do it
