using donor car to register locost

I have used a ford escort mkII as a donor car for my locost build. I intend to use the vin number from the ford for the locost . All the main items sterring engine gearbox diff electrics have been used can I register the locose using the donor details. The donor has been sorn and the reg plate is still listed on the dvla system.
I seem to remember that you get points for each donor item used and if over 80 it can be used, but as yes cant find full details of this

no you cant use your chasisnumber on your new car (atleast you shoundn't)

also the naming on the v5c should be changed to what you are building..

only the license plate is the thing wich you can keep...

No, you can't keep the license plate (by which I assume you mean the registration?). At most, you can get a number relating to the year of the donor... unless you transfer the original donor registration onto a retention certificate before scrapping it, then transfer it onto the locost later
