dohc mt75 gearbox
Hi All
Got my self a sierra donor car came with donc mated to a mt75 box,
My question is apart from the zetec engine what other engines will the fit not just fords. im thinking saab, volvo could this be done? machining is
not a problem as i have somone thats works in a tool room to do all this for me.

It will only go on 4cy fords. There is a firm thats made an adapter for the vag 1.8t but its only for a very rare 6cl rwd mt 75. Robin hood also made
an adapter for the rover T-series turbo but again not the 4cl box.

Zetec / MT75 is a very nice combination, only disadvantage is you need a sliding joint prop, I made my own from a landrover disco front prop, and a
bailey morris flange.

is the place. It says it will go on a 4cyl box but the adapter was for a 6 when I looked a few years back.

some of the later SAAB eingines are on a GM bellhousing pattern the same as vauxhall redtops etc.
so these can easily be fitted to omega boxes or type 9's with an aftermarket bellhousing, but I don't know of an off the shelf way of
fitting these to an MT75
of course you could engineer your own adapter to fit whatever you like
(like the one in big wasa's link)

i was thinking could i have plate made like that and mate it to other engines.
its working out what parts i would need to get it all to work?
my little brain dont work that way so lots of help would be needed!!!

price for the work is FREE, materials also FREE if i have the right size plate. its getting the internal parts to match and i can get pritty much
anything machined.

sounds like you just need to have a read throught some build diarys (there are a few on here that have made there own - try a few searches)
of course it would help if we knew exactly which engine you wanted to fit
