Donor Vehicles
Hi,
I would like to know if a TR7 is suitable as a donor.
???.

Might be possible.
I looked at using a dolomite at one time as a donor, but decided against it.
AFAIK the TR is RWD - you will need to check the distance between rear wheel inner faces to see if axle is wide enough for a locost.
Pictures on the web seems to show the TR as having mcphereson front suspension, whick means you will need to get adapters made to use a top joint - or
use sierra / cortina stuff instead.
Engine.......leans over to one side if I recall.... you will need to check that it fits within the confines of a locost bonnet, or might need to make
a wider car.
It would be original to go this route. However I think the TR was only about 100hp? You can get that and a bit more (115hp) from a sierra, and there
is more knowledge about using fords on this site.
