Which Chassis/Donor car

I'm just at that stage, you know bought the book can't wait to get started but have know idea what chassis/donor combination to choose I really like the idea of a hayabusa engine car is this a sensible way forward for a 1st timer?

Dont know where you are in the country, but we built a kit this year, supplied by mac1 of Sheffield. They were great, nothing too much trouble, always there to help. Pay them a visit

I decided to build my own chassis using the McSorley plans http://mcsorley.net/locost/default.htm

I was going to then use the running gear as described in the book, however i decided to use a sierra doner parts, due to the lack of escort/cortina bits at scrap yards.
Hopefully gonna stick a CBR1000 or similar bike engine in it.
