Hi Liam
The DVLA don't send out a confirmation that they have received your SORN so you could try the 'we sent it in on time' letter. A huge
percentage of mail goes missing, even going only from 'sunny' Pembs to Swansea!
Regards
Wyn

I think i did send it off in time you know, come to think of it. Was it a letter or a part of the V5 does anyone know?
I wanted to scrap the car by the way, not sure if that makes a difference

Don't you remember you downloaded the form from DVLA here and sent it off straight away and didn't here anything else, so presumed
everything was in order
You could offer them the photocopy you took

I've had a receipt for the vehicles I've SORN'd. I recently got fined, as I'd forgotten to declare SORN on my bike.
You'll be lucky to get away with it as there's bugger all leeway.
Good luck!
