Has anyone else considered using the Mazda E1800/Bongo van as a donor?


  1. Front steer rack
  2. Bolt-on upper and lower balljoints
  3. +100 rear axle
  4. same gearbox internals as MX5
  5. easy swap with 323 1800 DOHC
  6. easy LSD swap from 4wd van
  7. cheap and plentiful (here in NZ)


Similar attributes for Mitsubishi L300, except for press-in top balljoint, but likely FTO 200hp V6 will bolt to standard 5-speed
