Finally found me a donor!!
Would you believe it!
Got it in an unusual manner too.
Wandered down to my local budget-style car rental outfit and asked what they did with unwanted motors they could no longer rent, due to their
appearance or lack of test. When I told the guy what I needed it for, I was told I could take my pick!
I opted for a scruffy F-plate 1600 Pinto-powered hatch with tax, test and a 100,000 miles. The only proviso was that I return the tax disc and
battery. Best of all, it was free!!
So just ask the question. They can only tell you to beggar orff!

I've always said 'If you don't ask, you don't get' 
Always worth asking, the worst they can say is 'NO' or variations on that.
