Each to their own I guess. Would make a good donor though.

I'm quite partial to the looks and have considered buying one before now. I met a guy a few years ago who had fitted a RV8 into one. It was quick in a straight line, but with standard brakes and suspension it was a little untidy through the twisty bits

In the most recent episode, it looked like the top of the rear seat in the "superb tan interior" was fraying .

...and why would it come with with a "road-worthy N-reg number plate, plus an authentic 1974 one."? An N one would/could be a 1974 one anyway (August 1974 – July 1975), so what is the K reg one doing there (K was August 1971 – July 1972) ??

I think it's a GXL not a 2000E. If you watch it on screen it has 2000E badging on the rear and GXL badging on the front. I seem to remember that the 2000E was introduced with single rectangular headlights.

This was the subject of much discussion at the last Northants group meeting, which, thinking about it, is probably why not many people come along.

N reg would make it a 2000E which is a 1974/5 car - as the series is set 1973 the GXL was the model of that time so its been modded externally to represent the K 1972 registration. Its a Bitsa.

As for best looking Fords - MK1 Escort Mexico. everytime.
