Hi everybody Im new to this site, my name is Bill and Ive just started to build a Leugo Velocity and was wondering if anyone had any views on this model and anyone building one of these, have you had any issued with it and if so what? Also if there are any meetings locally to me in Dartford, I would appreciate being told about them because I like to meet new people and make new friends and swap ideas etc. Many thanks, hope to hear from someone out there.

Hi and of course welcome. How about you putting a hello thread in the Leugo forum as well, may well get a quicker response than in this one.

Hi Bill

Welcome to the asylum....

If you look on the Forum Page, and scroll down, you will see there is a Luego specific section.....

so ask away in there if any of your questions are Luego specific.....they are likely to get answered quicker there....

Anything generic.....ask away in the appropriate bit of the forum....

Ian (LocostBuilder user ID SaigonIJ) is near completion of his Velocity and he's only a hop, skip and a jump away in Tunbridge Wells. He has been extremely helpful to me although I'm not actually building.

My understanding is that there are several Velocity owners with 45 minutes drive of you in Dartford.

Hi Bill May I add my welcome. If you fancy crossing the water, we have a couple of meets not too far this side in Essex, just let me know if you require further details, tends to be a bit more happening in the Summer

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Welcome Bill. As previously stated you will find a mirriad of guys build or with built Velocity's within the Luego section. Hopefully you will be able to get to one or two of the shows this year and meet the rest of the Luego owners (built or otherwise).

Cheers

Hi guys to anser your question about my name bill132hotrod yeh i used to do short circuit oval racing, (for the last 15yrs) but it was getting a bit silly with the club i was with so i decided to get out , i had a good innings. started off racing a mini 1000cc and progressed to 1340cc full race fiesta hotrod, then built a mini with a c20xe vauxhall redtop, had this fetured in short circuit magazine, and motoring news, plus it was on show at brentwood short circuit racing, then i went the whole hog and completly rebuilt it all into a metro, rebuilt the engine totally with all possible, steel rods, race pistons, verniers, coscast head, reprofiled cams, solid lifters, titanium top caps, twin 48 wbbers ect, ect, over the 15yrs i always finished in the top 6 with (2) 3rds in championship and a 2nd in the championship so i had a good innings in all, now i'm using that engine in the luego i've just started to build, so now i will have to think of a new name that goes with me and the luego velocity cheers chaps any idears ( keep it clean now) ha ha ha.
