2.3 Diesel sierra estate

Hi

I have a 2.3 diesel estate sierra, I am willing to strip it for parts for exchange for beer token if anybody wants any bits. Obviously old and rusty but that all part of the game !!

I am not sure but reading on here it could have a 3.1 diff(push in shafts) for BEC boys, i will have a check and update post.

Contact me if there is anything you require.

Stu

No idea what a 3.14 diff is, might be able to find a use for it. I'll take a chance and I'll give you a nice crisp £20 note

this might help:

vin plate - box 10 (axle code)

M=3.14 (7" or 7.5" )
A=3.36 (7.5" )
V=3.38 (7" )
U=3.62 (7" )
3=3.64 (7.5" )
9=3.91 (7.5" )
D=3.92 (7" )

Put anyway you like, if its a 3.38 or even the rarer 3.14 Its going to be reasonably valuable.

DONT junk the rear diff.

Also with only about 2000 odd sierras left on the road, best to strip all the bits you need for a kit.

EDIT:
Put your rough location in your profile. It helps when you are doing things like this.
Its no good to the boys at Lands End, if you live at John O'Groats (everyone on here should do thatanyway)

Chances are, the diff will almost certainly be 3.38:1. Whilst the 3.38 is a desireable ratio for BEC's, they don't command the same price that a 3.14 does. However, stick the 3.38 into an LSD and it might fetch slightly more......

steering columns seem to be in demand at the moment - I'm after one at the moment (with the stitches, plugs and plastic cowl)

Updated,

Just pulled the diff out and the metal tag suggests 3.38. That is also what i measured it at.

Sorry for a false alarm on other ratio !!

Any takers??

I am based in Chelmsford
