Xflow guru needed - 1.3 vs. 1.6

I'm in the process of stripping an old 1.3 xflow into parts small enough to lift into the tintop for disposal without doing my back in. I run a 1.6 xflow in the locost and was wondering which, if any, of the major parts are common and worth keeping.
Does anyone know if the 1.3 and 1.6 flywheels and heads are the same?
If the heads aren't a direct replacement, are the inlets the same? (Thinking I might keep the spare head as a jig for welding up a new inlet manifold).

Oh, if anyone in North Wales wants a 1.3 short engine and sump or a standard 4-speed RWD Escort 'box they're there for the taking. If no one wants 'em then they're going for scrap in a week or so.

The engine was a runner but has the worst oil sludging I have ever seen. The gearbox works fine but is unwanted.

I have a 1.6 GT head on my old 1300 lurking at the back of the garage...

You can also use 1300 oily bits (conrods/pistons etc) in a 1600 to change compression ratios and stroke...

You CANNOT use 1300 conrods in a 1600; they're much shorter!!! (and much weaker). The 1300 block is an inch shorter than a 1600 so you cannot use a 1300 crankshaft in a 1600 block. And why would anyone want to?

You can use the pistons, and they'll give you a higher compression ratio as the bowls are smaller. Give about 10 to 1 ratio in a 1600.

Heads are the same, although valve sizes may vary.

1300 are shorter so should not be use on the 1600 crank - you may get interference, not sure.

in theory, you could use 1600 rods on 1300 crank in 1300 block but would need lower piston crowns - this is usually done to run engines at higher rpm as the angle the rods turn decreases.

heads are swappable but 1300 had smaller valves than 1600.

if you scrap the engine, cut off the engine number as often folks buy an engine with a skimmed block so the number is lost.

someone sooner or later on here will ask what to do with crossflow that has no number.
