Donor?? 3SFE motor 2.0 Liter Toyota Camry '91

I have recently aquired the camry from my brother who went into the military. I was wondering if it would be possible to convert it to a RWD, I know the suspension would be crap on this car, and the brakes are very rusted out, but the motor seems pretty strong at 150K+ miles. Would it fit the book frame or an enlarged frame?

Any suggestions on mating a RWD transmission onto it? '85 Supra maybe?
I looked through all the donor posts and couldn't find one that mentioned the 3SFE engine.

Car as it is now looks almost exactly like this one:

In Euro spec, which these days is probably the same as US spec, the 3SFE is good for 130bhp (not too shabby) and is a reliable motor 'cos it's a Toyota. I have absolutely no idea whether it will bolt on to a Supra tranny, I don't know that the Japanese go in for the sort in interchangeability that Ford do. The only thing I can say is give it a try
P.S. If your'e going to use this engine, get the wiring loom out of the Camry to make things a fraction easier.

It almost looks too clean to break!
I don't know about fitting a rwd tranny to that engine but it may well work, go for it

Found a great wealth of info on converting the engine to RWD!! Here's a great link all about it:

(edit 1)
Also some gearbox specs at:

Thank you again google!

I apparently have a choice of no fewer than 5 different gearboxes (from supras and celicas), and several head upgrades. Woo hoo!

The camry that _I_ have is not as clean as in the picture. ALMOST, but only because it was repainted. Rust is getting pretty bad above the wheel wells, but the engine runs pretty strong.

Excellent!

Thanks for the link! It's good to know I have a source for bellhousings if I decide to go with this engine! Dunno what the shipping would be on a 10kg bellhousing from New Zealand to the states though.
