gearbox help please

I am certain someone on here can help, took my dads engine out of his Dutton Phaeton last night and why it was out thought I would take a look at the gearbox as he has had it for 4 years and was complaining of a noise in 4th.
when the box came out there was hardly any oil in it and the bearing at the back is really noisy, tried to strip it down but without out a manual im unsure exactly what it is?
Its joined up to a 1600 X-flow, 4sp manual. The bellhouse and gearbox are one unit but the rear turret is removable with 4 bolts.
The numbers on the side read 70AG-7006DB then underneath them 2A27A3.
I could do with some info on how to dismantle it and so that I can order the bearings for it.

To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

the other one it could be is this one:

should be easy to tell them apart by the inpust shaft diameter

I've got a spare one of them taking up space in the garage...
