OT Skype
My wife has recently bought a tablet (microsoft) running windows 8 it has a skype version loaded which is a pay one. Can anyone advise where she can
download a free to use version? we have tried a couple but they all seem to want money
Thanks

Not sure about W8 as I am on Android for both phones and tablets. Have used Skype on these previously but have now started using Viber. Doesn't
do video calls but does txt and picture messaging in addition to voice calls. Found it better than Skype to be fair and been using it to keep in
contact with home as we are currently in Mexico. You can also buy credit to phone landlines or mobiles that aren't able to access the internet.
Phoned daughters mobile today and a 15 minute call cost 60p and was very clear.

Skype quality can be a bit hit and miss even with good internet links at both ends due to how it works under the bonnet.
Many other services do essentially the same thing so try e.g. Google Hangouts or Faceflow etc
