Steering column UJ
Morning chaps
I'm in need of a new sierra steering column/escort rack universal joint (Triangle type). I'm aware I can get these from car builder and
rally design but I keep picking up on quality issues! Can anyone recommend a supplier for such a beast?
Also, I noted that the one I've removed doesn't have the locating pin that drops into the Triangle column! Is this something that's
required as it appears to of not been ground off so I assume it's as manufactured?
Any comments or suggestions as always appreciated.
Cheers
Leon

I've been posting recently about the quality issues with these couplings on the RHOCAR site.
Had several dodgy ones from Rally Design so bought one from Car Builder Solutions. Had the same problem with that one - but Matt from CBS
couldn't have been more helpful.
He immeadiately checked all his stock of the Sierra triangle couplings and all seemed to have play issues. So he ordered a new batch from a known good
supplier and I had a brand new replacement within 3 days which is perfect and has no play at all!
So to cut a long story short - If you order one from Car Builder Solutions now - it will be fine.
As for the locating pin issue, none of the couplings I've had have ever had that on tbh.
Hope that helps

I think the pin wasn't fitted to later cars.
