Whatever the builder wants to call it. I registered mine as MK Indy. As long as it isn't still the doner cars reg, it doesn't matter
really.

A fair few will have Dutton - avoid those ones!

Ah yes. There may be more MK "Duttons" than actual Duttons

AS mine was based mainly on Ford parts I wanted that in the name and as i like mountains I decided to call it a 'Ford Sierra'.
Not really.. MK Indy is what it should have but as others said it is down to what the builder put on the form.

The make will probably be described as MK or MK Indy and the model and variant be blank.
When my Fury was registered, the v5 said Fisher Fury under make. I questioned it with the DVLA (local office at that time) and they said when they
were registering kits, the system didn't allow them to fill in the model or variant fields. It might have been BS or it might have changed since
then.

Registered my early MK as MK Locost 7. DVLA seemed quite happy with that.
Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

If its insured, use askmid and it will tell you make.
Or try a hpi check company etc, as sometimes the make will come up on there free checks when only using the reg.

probably needs MK Indy in the make field. Mine needs make and model to come up on those services.

this site is quite good for make and model from reg no (gives make and model free or a £2.99/ charge for extra info)

The mot lookup will go with whatever the tester entered at time of test (which defaults to the previous mot make/model when the vehicle is logged on
for test), when i check my car for mot I need to put 'sylva', but to check sorn/tax i have to put 'sylva striker mk11' as on
the v5 otherwise it comes up not found.
