A few cars have had rotaries there was a Citroen that had one, also a Lada but I think they all were FWD.

IIRC the NSU RO80 came along before Mazda started on their rotary engined cars. Not sure if they sold the rights to Mazda or not? I seem to remember
something of the sort when I bought an RX 7 back in '82. Great little car.

Norton even put a rotary engine in a bike. See here
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Most of the Citroens were recalled and crushed. The Ladas were rwd and mostly a copy of the Mazda stuff. Lada even built some four rotor powered
tanks!
The only really decent source for rotary engines is the Rx-7. Most everything else is too obscure (Lada, Citroen, etc) or unreliable (NSU, early 70s
Mazda).
