Depends what you need it for.
4x4 drive train means rear disks and bolt on drive shafts,
Won't be a type 9 gearbox and pretty useless in a locost unless you are having 4x4.
Engine is pretty high mileage and not that great for a locost as they are heavy.
Steering rack will be powered, therefore useless. Should be able to use the column though.
Front uprights will be ok to use.
If you only need a few bits and can get it cheap it might be worth getting it as you could easily flog a lot of the bits off it.
I bought a 2.0l DOHC sapphire, got the bits i needed, manage to make about £200 off the rest and bought the rest of the stuff i needed nice and clean.
One bloke came round and had half the dash, the bonnet, the slam panel, the exhaust system, the head. He spent a whole day round mine, he wanted the
wings too but didnt have enough time. Apparently he had a MK1 sierra that he wanted to turn into a MK2, god only knows why he didnt just go out and
buy one, they aint exactly rare!
He managed to get all this inside a MK1 fiesta, he said he was planning to strap the bonnet to the bonnet of the fiesta, but luckily it fit inside!!

It should have a LSD. If you have the room and time i'd break it as you would pay more for the bits.

how do i know which ones have lsd?
i have the space and quite a lot of time so i'm fine with breaking the car myself
by that one do you mean the one i put at top, as in does it have enough bits i'd need to make it worth the price?
or do you mean to strip a car in general
sorry for all questions

I agree with need4speed.
If it's local it's got to be worth breaking if you have time and room.
LSD alone cleaned and painted would sell for £125 - £150
If your building a Locost this will give you most bits except engine, box & rack
Racks are cheap anyway and not many people are still using pinto's so really its just the type 9 your missing.
IMHO
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!
