engine mounting dilemma
afternoon all,
me and the old man went to trial fit the engine today, i spent all day yesturday cleaning all the muck and crap of the engine, so that it
wouldn't be such a dirty job. anyway, got the crane in place with the engine hanging, as we began to drop the engine (pinto) into the chassis,
we found out that its too narrow and there is about 2 inches either side of the mounting brackets!
am i missing something? i am using alloy pinto mounts if that helps anybody
any suggestions welcome!
ATb Alex
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Probably because the standard mounts arent long enough... You will probably need a set of proper dax mounts designed for the pinto. Either that or
make some.

I would assume that, as with most kits, they are designed to use the manufacturers own mounts. It's also a nice way of getting a little
extramoney out of you! Unless you can make your own that is.
