Donor Kebab
Good day everyone,
I,m still trying to get my head around what donor, what chassis etc.......can anyone guide me re. spitfire/herald/mgb or not 2 b doner........? My
budget is such that I will have to go for a book chassis without too many mods. However, there is still plenty of junked BMC motors out
there.........anyone got any polite ideas?? Please help a destitute wannabe kit car owner.

consider a mk4/5 cortina if you can find one. You can use the front axles and the rear live axle.
Not sure if they have the xflow (possibly pinto) - a xflow would be a benefit too as its got a low bonnet line.

most stuff here is ford based as it's easy to obtain, older cars (sierra's, old escorts, cortina's etc) are rear wheel drive so
engine and gearboxes are round the right way for a kit car.
for a budget route why not go with a 1700 crossflow?
Andrew.
beware, I've got yellow skin
