Front Upright configurations
Looking for donor parts for a 3-wheeler. Which car donor parts is better? I live in the USA so I cannot find any Ford Sierra MKII, year 75-80? Is a
Ford Escort the same as Cortina or Sierra? What year range should the parts be? thanks.

If it's any help, the Sierra was known as the Merkur in the USA, but it uses a lower wishbone/ McPherson strut front suspension arrangement
unlike the Cortina (which was not sold over there).
Cars like the 70s Chevy Vega and 80s Buick Skyhawk have a double wishbone (A-arm) front end with nice upright/hub assemblies and are front engined
rear wheel drive, so you could use the whole drivetrain.
The American Ford stuff differs completely from the European, but anything can be made to fit if your pockets are deep enough. Personally, I'd
be looking at other makes of donor.

I looked around the Locost USA forums and saw many people using Mustang II, Pinto, RX7, Miata uprights. I'm in the process of designing a 3
wheeler and I can't decide what type is good on performance, price and availability. On car-parts.com there seems to be tons of MII parts
available. Should I go along with the MII config? Also if I use the MII hubs, then I have to use MII axles, steering column, etc. or I can interchange
parts from different makes for design, performance or price?
