Miata MX5 Donor; Which is Best?
I have decided to opt for the Coveland Motorsports Miata/IRS chassis for the beginings of my Locost7 Build. In most Miata based builds, it appears as
though builders opt for the NA (1989-1997) generation for a donor. Has anyone used a NB (1998-2005)? With the help of Flyin' Miata, I intend
to have a full longblock rebuild, but was interested in the 6-speed manual found in the Mazdaspeed MX5 edition NB. I suppose I could opt for the NA
as my donor but add the 6-speed of the Mazdaspeed NB. Has anyone attempted this; what is the interchangability of the transmissions? This might be
something to ask the Miata guys, not the Locost builders.

MX5
Try Andrew Stott at Autolink UK, 07973 138194 and at www.autolinkuk.co.uk. They specialise in all things MX5. He's been a mine of useful info
for me and knew a lot of esoteric things about the various engine options. His company has alos been a good reliable source of parts.

The gearbox is interchangable, make sure you have all of the fixings from the 6 speed as they differ from the 5.
