I just slung mine on the back of the bulkhead facing down...

But then i realised that it had a ball bearing inside of it... has any body got pics of theirs and how its supposed to be mounted? Im pretty sure that the way its fitted at the moment it wont work?

Don't use the Sierra one it is a G valve orientation of valve is very critical also not not suitable for light sports car.

Most Ford base Locost/Sevenish vehicles are OK without one but a better and very cheap alternative is a a Fiat UNo or Fiat Strada/Ritmo or Lada valve. The Fiat valve requires a simple bracket and adjuster screw.

Try Brakes international for the Fiat/Lada valve at a very good price.

Photo of aforementioned valve for you. The body has to threaded bosses so I drilled 2 holes in the footwell bulkhead and secured it with bolts and penny washers. I then made an L shaped bracket out of steel that clamps between the body and the bulkhead with the short leg of the L (upside down) extends over the plunger on the top of the valve. Drilled and tapped an M8 hole in the bracket centered over the plunger and then fitted a bolt and locknut to provide adjustment.

Beware at SVA the examiner will expect to see a non adjustable set-up. At my first test the examiner let me get the bias set up correctly and then I tacke welded the locknut to the bracket for the re-test (this tack weld may obviously "break" now SVA is passed though)

I used the fiat valve as above with a plate over the top with an M8 bolt for adjustment, at SVA i ended up taking the bolt completely out for the test so i'm sure i could have got away without the valve.

I would only bother messing about the brake balance if there was a problem or the car was being tracked.
