sierra donor

Hi all,
Been toying with the idea of building a locost for 18 months now on and off and now gonna go for it. I bought a sierra estate beging of the year with the intentions of putting it back on the road as its a K plate.Cant be arsed to do that so gonna use it as a donor, now my question.
The car is fitted with a cvh engine and I dont want that, so can I mate a 1600 Xflow to my type 9 box or will I have to use a pinto?
Also will my diff ratios be wrong?
Any help greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance
Craig

There's no way you'll ever mate 2 1600 x flows to one type 9 box....

One would mate up nicely though.

Didn't see the pre-edit message, but why not put the 2 crossflows together to make a 3.2 V8 or a straight eight - though then you would need an even longer chassis than the hippy
