Donor chassis
I have my donor's V5. Is there any reason I need to keep the chassis to prove the chassis number? (I'm not using the chassis, it will go
on eBay)

Chassis
You may have a problem if you sell the chassis & the new owner applies for a replacement V5 for it.
I have been having trouble with DVLA over my donor.
I stripped my donor & took the shell to to the scrapyard.
I stupidly forgot to grind the vin no off of the chassis.
DVLA have it recorded as scrapped
They will not issue me the V5 for the donor

Definitely remove all traces of vin number.I sold on an escort shell that had donated the running gear on the understanding that it was for parts ie
doors and panels etc only .Unfortunately my mate that got rid of it left the front number plate in the boot and even though i had the vin plate and
rear number plate the person he sold it to tried to get a v5 for it,It caused me a lot of problems and he got a visit from the police, so in my
opoinion your best to cut it up and get rid of it.
